Art is something that the world should be worshipping. Without art and an artist, there would be nothing. Your favorite book is art. Books, tv, anime, music, drawings, paintings, website images are all art. Art surrounds us on all fronts, but it is the least appreciated out of all subjects.
A large portion of my friends were blessed with amazing art skills. I can program, fix computers, and design almost anything. But I can’t do art like they can. I am determined to spread the love of art as far as I can.
Some people always want to know how artists do what they do. Well, I got the chance to ask my friend that is going to New York to major in illustration. Her name is Scarlett, and she runs her own shop. This is the first in a series of Interview an Artist.
Get to Know the Person Behind the Page: Melly
Me: Hi! How are you? Thank you for agreeing to talk to me. Let me start by saying I love your art style, and I amazed at what you can do. My first question is when did you get into art?
Melly: I have been into art as long as I can remember. Art has always been a passion of mine, and while I tried other things, art is where my heart has always been.
Me: I feel the same way about writing. My second question for you is who is your main inspiration? Who is your favorite artist today?
Melly: Two of my most inspirational people are Sakimichan and hamletmachine right now. Their art styles are out of this world.
Me: Why did you pick an art career, and have you ever thought of doing something else?
Melly: Art has always been with me as soon as I learned to hold a pencil. For a while, I was thinking of doing a zoology major, but my heart was always in art.
Me: Do you have any tips for beginners?
Melly: I know that everyone says this, but it is true. Practice, practice, and practice some more. The more you work at something, the better you get at it.
Me: What are your future art plans for the time being?
Melly: I plan to transfer to Rochester into there illustration program in New York in December.
